| I have worked with instructors in Virginia, Kentucky and North Carolina and have ridden in clinics with well known riders/trainers. I can honestly say that Jessica is one of the very best I have ever had the pleasure of riding under. She is very knowledgeable and willing to explain the WHY behind her methods. Jessica tailors her instruction and/or training to fit the individual needs of each student and horse. She takes her time and trains correctly--you will never see Jessica's students or horses pushed beyond their capabilities or fitness level. Jessica is very positive in her training with both riders and horses, but is also honest and safe. There are many trainers who have a great knowledge base but are just not able to teach well to others, and there are others who are fun to work with but just do not seem to be able to improve their riders. You get the best of both worlds with Jessica--knowledge and excellent teaching. She has taken my young horse with whom I had made several mistakes in starting myself, and has us going safely and happily--something I was unsure would ever happen! She basically started over with us and has brought us along as a team--slowly, safely and happily. I cannot thank her enough and plan to ride with her as long as I can! --Amy Bailey |
